Provide direct care to CVICU patients, including post-operative CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients.
Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
Fulfill all departmental competencies and maintain hospital/unit-based competencies.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Take initiative for professional development and learning needs.

Valid RN license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Stepdown experience, including experience within the last year
CVICU experience
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
