OR RN Specialty

Overview

• Role: OR RN Specialty
• Location: Fargo, North Dakota
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Evenings, 8 hours per day
• Schedule: Straight evenings, 1pm–9pm, Monday–Friday
• Call: 1 to 2 days a week and every 3 to 4 weekends
• Float scope: May float to Broadway or South University campus if needed, rarely
• Unit size: 25 OR suites
• Average volume: 75 to 100 cases per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 to 1

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• RN ND or Compact license
• 2 years recent OR RN experience
• Large hospital experience with 250+ beds and Level 1 trauma status
• Experience in an acute facility with 15 or more OR suites
• Experience with General surgical cases, GYN, Urology, and laparoscopic cases
• Strong Neuro procedures, focusing on cranies and spine
• Strong Ortho procedures
• Experience with navigation
• Experience with robotics

Preferred Qualifications

• DaVinci experience

Responsibilities

• Circulating nurse duties in the operative setting
• Documenting and caring for patients in the operative setting
• Sterile prepping of surgical sites
• Catheter insertion
• Opening sterile supplies
• Positioning patients for surgical procedures
• Documenting within an electronic record
• Setting up operating room equipment as directed

Additional Notes

• Outpatient center experience will not be a match
• Must be okay to work in General
• All clinicians must badge in and out
• Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue
• Candidates living within 60 miles are not eligible
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility are subject to a reduced client rate
• If previously worked for Sanford Health, there must be an end date 6 months prior to submission
