Registered Nurse (PCU) - Contract in Colorado
Job Overview
- Provide nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Patient Care Unit.
- Serve as the primary nurse in a rural Critical Access Hospital setting.
- Day shift position.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Location
- Aspen, Colorado.
- Work environment includes high elevation (~8,000 feet); must be healthy enough to safely function in low oxygen conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 3 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
- PCU experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Additional Information
- Not accepting any Return to Office (RTO) candidates.
- Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing.
- Housing costs are high, especially in winter; typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in nearby towns (Basalt, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs) is around $3,500/month.
