Facility & Unit Overview
- Level III trauma center with 198 beds
- Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth, cancer, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
- Trauma cases from Level I, II, and III are flown in
- Unit has 2 CT scanners at main campus and 1 at outpatient center
- Equipment includes GE CT scanners: 64 slice, 32 slice, and 16 slice
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
- Patient population: All ages
Position Details
- Role: CT / Radiologic Technologist
- Specialty: CT Imaging and general radiography
- Number of openings: 1
- Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 (all weekend hours)
- Call requirement: Yes, every Thursday night
- Float requirement: Yes, to radiology department
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with biopsies and CT drainage procedures
- Experience with GE Healthcare CT scanners

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
