Unit: PICU
9-bed unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
BLS
PALS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Patient ratios: 1 RN to 1–2 patients in PICU; 1 RN to 2–3 patients in stepdown
Floating: Peds and NICU
Self-scheduling available

Clinical Skills / Experience

IV starts
Caths
Holding for LPs
Central line dressing changes
Hemodynamic monitoring
Trach care
Tube feeding and placement
ICP monitoring
Ventilator management

Schedule / Work Expectations

Must work 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule

Equipment / Documentation

Alaris pumps
Cerner

Dress Code

Navy blue or white scrubs
Navy pants with white tops are also acceptable
