MRI Technologist Travel Position

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Full-time travel MRI Technologist role in a Level III trauma center with 198 beds.
Shift: Friday to Sunday, 7 AM to 7 PM, with periodic on-call during the week.
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
Patient population includes all age groups.
Work involves full body MRI procedures using a 1.5 Tesla GE Artist MRI scanner.
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner.

Required Qualifications

Valid MRI Technologist license in New Mexico.
Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

No float requirements.
Call responsibilities required.
One opening available.

Pros

Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.

Cons

It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
