Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Weekend shifts required per unit needs, with a minimum of 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- On-call required: 1 day every 6 weeks
- Travelers float first and may float to sister facilities within the South Region as needed
- First-time travelers are accepted if experience requirements are met
Unit Details
- Cardiovascular thoracic progressive care unit
- Telemetry-focused unit caring for cardiovascular and thoracic patients, including those before and after cardiac catheterization, vascular interventions, open-heart surgery, and thoracic surgery
- Common patient populations include chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular and thoracic conditions
- Typical ratios: 1:3 for progressive patients and 1:4 for more acute patients, with a maximum of 5
