Ultrasound Tech - General (Travel/Contract)

Location: Salem, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable swing/graveyard shifts between 12:00 AM and 5:30 AM
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician with expertise in OB ultrasound and the ability to operate advanced ultrasound equipment. This is a travel contract position starting in July with variable shifts during overnight hours.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in Oregon
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment as an Ultrasound Technologist
  • Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID
  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
  • Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
  • Physical exam within one year of start
  • Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Tdap vaccine or facility-specific declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity verification or vaccination/declination
    • Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series or declination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (year-round requirement)
  • Badge photo with white background submitted at least 8 days prior to start
  • Completion of required facility-specific training modules by designated due dates

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must pass competency exams as required by the facility
  • References: Two references within the last 2 years showing at least 1 year in a comparable specialty; one must be supervisory within the last 12 months
  • Fit testing for masks will be completed onsite within the first week of starting (if applicable)

This position requires a dedicated Ultrasound Tech with strong clinical skills, travel experience, and the ability to work flexible overnight shifts.
