Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Main OR assignment
- Floating required between Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and Honickman Center
- No on-call requirement
- No holiday requirement
- Scrubs are provided
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Liver transplant case experience
- Craniotomy case experience
- Spinal surgery case experience
- Orthopedic fracture case experience
- Cardiac experience
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted with appropriate experience
- Epic charting system is used

Pros
Some of the nurses in the MICU are some of the best people I have ever met. Very high acuity patients but I learned a lot. Amazing teamwork and camaraderie
Cons
The facility is literally falling apart and staffing is terrible sometimes. Management is not as great and supportive as it used to be. Patient population can be difficult to work with (lots of ETOH, withdrawal, ODs, etc)
