Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maryland
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Unit Details

Emergency Room (ER)
High-volume, fast-paced, non-trauma ER
66 rooms/beds
Average census: 200 +/-
Patient ages: Neonates to Geriatrics
ER ratio: 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity
10-bed ED hold/Obs unit within the ER; ratio 1:5, up to 6 with lower acuity

Schedule / Expectations

Every other weekend required
Holidays required as scheduled
Floating required within the specialty, including the ER hold/Obs unit within the ER setting as needed
No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
