Interventional Radiology Technologist - Travel/Contract
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units.
- Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, PE/DVTs.
- Work with adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Facility is a Trauma 1 and Stroke Center.
- Utilize fluoroscopy (Siemens) and ultrasound (Phillips).
- Work in 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, and a dedicated ultrasound room.
- Use McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart systems.
- Call schedule includes 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week, with 2 techs on call each shift (primary and secondary).
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, with experience within the last year.
- Bachelor's degree.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I-9 or attestation.
- Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Background check: 7-year history, including alias search, counties lived/worked/schooled, national criminal, sex offender, social security trace, and international checks if applicable.
- Separate EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusion screenings within 60 days of start.
- Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or Caregiver Background Screening must be completed and on file within 60 days of start.
- Primary source verification of Missouri state license within 60 days of start.
- Negative 7-panel drug screen within 60 days of start.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, initiated within 48 hours of signing.
- Fit mask test valid within 1 year (3M 1870+, 1860R, 1860S, or 9205).
- Immunizations and health screenings required within 48 hours of signing:
- Negative TB test (QGold, TSpot, or 2-step PPD) within 1 year, updated annually.
- Hepatitis B series or positive/reactive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates after 7/1/2023).
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved exemption.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines.
- Varicella immunity via positive titer or 2 vaccines.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (10/1 - 3/31).
- Photo for badge (new candidates only).
- Completion of facility-specific forms including Access and Confidentiality Agreement, New Hire Packet, and others as required.
Additional Notes
- The role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
- The facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Candidates must be able to work the full term of the contract at the assigned location.
- Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days.
- Two professional references from the last 2 years required.
