Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during assigned shifts using the nursing process.
• Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications necessary for procedures and manage patient care during moderate sedation.
• Monitor hemodynamics throughout procedures and document procedure events accurately.
• Utilize knowledge of supplies and equipment used in various interventional radiology procedures.
• Maintain patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and contribute to peer professional development.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Specialty Procedures and Skills

• Peripheral vascular work
• Venous central lines
• Tube changes
• Neuro procedures (preferred)
• Embolization work (arterial and venous)
• Venous thrombectomy work

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
