Shift: Days, 7:00a - 7:30p

Role Summary

Staff Registered Nurse (RN) providing post-operative care for a complex surgical population.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Med Surg experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience

Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Assess and intervene during the post-operative phase
Monitor and care for newly tracheostomies
Assess and maintain wounds requiring a wound vac and other complex wound management
Assess, manage, and educate patients and families on new ostomies
Work collaboratively with the general surgical residency and OMFS residency services
