Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Job Overview

13-week contract
36 hours per week
3 shifts of 12 hours each
Shift: 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, every other weekend

Required Qualifications

CT Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
BLS
ARRT (CT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)

Key Responsibilities

Perform CT scans and may perform general diagnostic radiology exams
Prepare patients and explain procedures
Review clinical data and patient history before exams
Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for reactions
Assist with sterile procedures and biopsies
Follow radiation protection practices
Complete imaging documentation and study indexing in the radiology information system

Work Environment

May work in a hospital or ambulatory mobile unit
May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs

Additional Notes

Level II trauma center
Procedure experience is a plus
OR experience is a plus
Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
