Neurodiagnostic Tech Level 1

Location: Edison, New Jersey
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
Schedule: Weekends and holidays as needed; on-call required
Contract Length: 22 weeks

Job Description

Perform standard and complex neurodiagnostic procedures with moderate supervision according to established standards and practices.
Provide technical assistance and training to students.
Complete all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures.
Support departmental functions, goals, and objectives, including development of new programs involving the Neurodiagnostic Lab and Epilepsy Unit.
Patient population includes EMU, ICU, pediatric, and adult patients.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of EEG technologist experience within the last year.
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient EEG settings.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Eligible for or holding ABRET EEG certification.
