Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a medical-surgical unit serving a diverse patient population including COPD, post-op joint patients, and diabetic patients.
• May float to like units as needed.
• Work in a 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care facility.
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
• Dress code allows any scrub color; branded attire from other facilities is not permitted.
• Personality fit: kind, caring, compassionate.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid in Kentucky.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in medical-surgical specialty.
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, and HWC (Hospital Worker Certification).
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler.

Additional Information

• Patient care includes a variety of inpatient and outpatient services.
• The facility is the sole acute care provider in the county and serves multiple surrounding counties.
• Float requirements: possibility to float to similar units as needed.
