Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Unit: Emergency Department
• Beds: 30
• Staffing:

  • Day and Night Shifts staffed with Charge Nurses, RNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Extenders (NEs)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Equipment Used: Pyxis, GE Monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn and Dynamap vital signs machines
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling with four weekend shifts per month; two must be consecutive weekend days

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• Proficient in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
