Overview
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Employment type: Travel
- Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Call: Not required
- Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with High Risk patients
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Unit Experience
- Labor and delivery / high-risk obstetrics experience
- Experience with high-risk OB
- Experience with placenta accreta spectrum disorders is preferred
- Experience with massive transfusion is preferred
Unit Setting
- Labor and delivery unit with 12 LDR beds, 5 antepartum beds, 4 OBED beds, and 3 OR rooms
- Typical procedures include C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, emergent C-hysterectomy, and massive transfusion
Work Environment
- Self-scheduling
- Team-oriented staff
- Engaged physicians and management
- Night and weekend leadership rounding
Additional Notes
- Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate EFM is required
- Scrub color: sky blue
