Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Travel)

Location

Lewiston, Maine
Level 2 Trauma Center
190-bed facility providing 24/7 Emergency Care, Cardiovascular Services, Cancer Care, Orthopedic Care, Women’s & Children’s Health, and Primary Care
Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics
Patient ratio: 1:4
No PICU; critical care bays available (4 beds)
Teleneurology support for stroke cases

Contract Details

Travel assignment
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: No guaranteed weekends off, but fair scheduling efforts made
No call requirements
Float requirement: Must float to ED holding area

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Experience managing dysrhythmias
Experience caring for ventilated patients
