Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Labor & Delivery – OB/GYN
Shift: Nights
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: As needed/on request

Facility & Unit Overview

137-bed acute care hospital, Joint Commission Accredited Primary Stroke Center
Services include cardiology, ortho, ophthalmology, general surgery, OBGYN, emergency department, gastroenterology, hospitalist services, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care
Level 2 Nursery
Labor & Delivery unit has 17 L&D rooms and 5 OB rooms (all one unit)
Patient population: Labor & Delivery
Electronic Health Record system: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience in Women’s Services
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Job Responsibilities & Expectations

Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery and OB units
Float to other units as needed
Maintain professional demeanor and adhere to dress code (scrubs allowed; no casual wear)
Patient ratios and specific workload details managed by unit leadership

Additional Information

Orientation sessions held weekly on Mondays
Location offers easy access to Raleigh, Durham, Research Triangle, and recreational areas such as Pinehurst Golf Course and the NC coast
Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel assignment
