CT Technologist - Janesville, WI

Job Type

• Contract position
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
• Shift: 12 PM to 8 PM
• Includes weekend rotation, holiday rotation, and on-call rotation
• May require alternating shifts, flexing hours, and overtime as needed

Job Description

• Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures and related imaging techniques
• Administer x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• May perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams if assigned radiographer duties
• Corroborate patient’s clinical history with procedure and document information for radiologist use
• Prepare patients for procedures, provide instructions to ensure cooperation and minimize anxiety
• Select and operate imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures successfully
• Position and immobilize patients as needed to demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting patient comfort
• Practice aseptic technique as necessary
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start/maintain intravenous access as appropriate
• Initiate basic life support actions when necessary
• Provide patient education
• Assist with supply and equipment decisions; maintain inventory control for assigned area
• Provide practical instruction for students and partners
• Observe universal protocol, standard precautions, and use appropriate patient identifiers
• Apply patient safety principles during all procedures, including assisting and transporting patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT Radiography registration
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation
• Approved BLS certification
