- Medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Patient types include ED observation, overnight stays, and surgical patients requiring overnight stay
- Bed size: 16
- Typical patient ratios: 3:5; up to 2:7
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- 2 years of Telemetry experience
- One completed travel assignment
- Driver's License
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Heparin experience
- Stepdown experience
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Experience with Epic
Additional Notes
- EPIC electronic medical systems experience is required
- Navy scrubs
- Orientation is 16 hours
- One to two of the three upcoming summer holidays may be required unless the unit is closed
