Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
Patient ratio: 4-5 patients during days, 5-6 patients during nights.
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts.
Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa.
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
One completed travel nursing assignment.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
NIHSS certification.
ACLS certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system.

Orientation

Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly, approximately every two weeks from March through December.

Additional Information

Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply (not detailed here).
Call back and on-call pay available (details excluded).
Charge/preceptor pay available (details excluded).
Weekly hours: 36-40 hours standard, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
