Job Details

    • Somatization Disorders
    • Bipolar Disorder

    • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
    • Personality Disorders
    • Impulsive Disorders
    • Substance Use Disorders

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health
  • Prior travel experience required (e.g., must have completed at least one prior travel contract)

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • SAMA (State-specific Advanced Medical Authorization)
  • Epic charting experience required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, MAB, CPI certifications as applicable

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License/State ID
  • I9 and E-Verify documentation
  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Education verification (highest level)
  • Fingerprinting (for certain states, e.g., New Mexico)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
    • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
    • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
  • Work history verification for the past 7 years
  • Completion of employment application/resume
  • Orientation packet review and signed acknowledgement prior to start
  • Clear headshot photo for badge

Notes

  • Candidates residing in certain counties in Texas are not eligible for this travel contract.
  • This position requires working night shifts and the ability to float to other units as needed.
  • Epic electronic health record system experience is mandatory.

This role is ideal for experienced Behavioral Health RNs with prior travel experience looking for a 13-week night shift contract in Texas.
