Medical Surgical RN

Location

Battle Creek, Michigan

Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
Up to 26 weeks
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
36 or 48 hours per week available
Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a rate differential
Will float to other Med Surg units
Works every other weekend
Holiday requests are not accepted
Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Unit Overview

Observation unit with 10 ER overflow beds
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio on days is 1:4-5
If paired with an RN/LPN team, ratio can be up to 1:7
Focus is rapid reassessment, admission, and discharge
Will consider ER experience

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

Travel experience is strongly preferred
More overall experience may be considered in place of travel experience

Work Environment

Must be willing to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and techs
