Operating Room Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Charleston, South Carolina
• Night shift: 3x12s, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• First-time travelers accepted
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Up to one working weekend shift per 4-week schedule period
• At least one holiday period must be worked

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Radiation Badge
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• On-call not required

Work Setting

• Level I trauma center
• Teaching facility
• Magnet hospital

Additional Notes

• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season
• Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

• 2 clinical references
• Copy of driver’s license or state ID
• Copy of Social Security card
• Employment application/resume with PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps
• Annual background check
• Education verification
• Physical exam
• Fit test within 90 days of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption, if applicable
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination, if applicable
• Radiation badge-related documentation if required for the assignment
