Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Charge nurse experience

Unit Details

Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 1 LPN, 3 PCTs, and 1 unit secretary
Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 LPN, 2-3 PCTs, and HUC for part of the shift
Patient ratio is 6:1; night stretch ratio is 7:1
Common equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDS, prima-fits, and primo-fits
Common procedures include peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical surgical skills

Floating

Other medical surgical units
ED holding medical/surgical patients

Schedule

Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
