Contract length: 26 weeks

Work Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: 36 out of 48 hours
On-call requirement: Yes, 2 hours for the oncoming shift

Job Description

Work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a tertiary, teaching hospital with Level 1 trauma designation
Float responsibilities include coverage in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, emergency department, adult acute, and critical care units
Patient ratios: acute care 1:25, critical care 1:8
Equipment used includes Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Team size: 14-16 RRTs covering the entire facility

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
Minimum 3 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
