Unit Overview

Medical-surgical unit with 30 beds
Patient ratio: 1:6
Floating required between 2 North and 2 West
Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Self-scheduling available
Family-oriented environment with visible leadership and a learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
NGT placement
Cardiac rhythm interpretation

Required Skills

IV starts
Wound care

Clinical Details

Common equipment includes wound vac, heparin drip, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry
Documentation system: editech

Additional Notes

Positive attitude and strong patient/family service recovery are expected
Navy scrubs required; no fleece or sweatshirts
