Location

• Albany, Georgia

Contract Length

• 17 weeks

Shift

• Days, 12-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Unit Details

• Progressive care / cardiac stepdown
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Every other weekend
• Must be flexible to work holidays and days around holidays
• Floating may be required to ICU; if unable to take ICU-level patients, the nurse may be assigned tasks in ICU instead

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license
• ACLS
• BLS
• 2 years of stepdown experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS
• Ability to read and interpret strips
• Ability to pull pacer wires

Clinical Setting

• Cardiac stepdown with cardiovascular and cardiothoracic patients
• Common patient types include post-op CABG, CHF, atrial fibrillation with RVR, pacemakers, ablations, AICD, chest tubes, and various cardiovascular surgeries/procedures

Additional Notes

• Meditech is used for charting
• Telemetry monitoring is used
• Natural hair color required
• No fake nails or shellac
• No facial piercings
• No visible tattoos
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility based on the address on the driver’s license
