OB Surgery Tech - Colorado, Denver

Job Summary

• Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile supplies and sterile technique.
• Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.
• Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to surgeon’s preference.
• Provide appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and supplies; maintain a sterile environment.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments during cases.
• Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and policy.
• Assist in specimen maintenance and preparation for laboratory analysis.
• Handle specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps according to policy and standards.
• Assist with timely room turnover, including cleanup, restocking supplies, and equipment care.
• May float to other departments within scope of competency.
• May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Surgical Technician license in Colorado.
• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technician experience, including recent experience within the last year.
• Experience as an OB Surgical Technician.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital.

Contract Length

• Approximately 8 weeks (55 days).
