Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Labor and Delivery
Number of Beds: 16
Number of Staff: 120
Shift Types:
- Day Shift: Charge nurse, PCT, CST, RN
- Night Shift: Charge nurse, PCT, CST, RN
Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
Equipment Used: Baxter Pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
EMR System: Cerner, Fetal ink

Required Experience and Skills

Minimum 2+ years Labor and Delivery experience (highest required years of experience)
Experience with high-risk pregnancies
Immediate newborn care experience
Required certifications:
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Registered Nurse License required

Preferred Skills

Circulating experience

Typical Procedures Performed

Vaginal Deliveries
Cesarean Sections
D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
Cerclage
C-Hyst (Cesarean Hysterectomy)

Work Environment and Culture

Personality fit: Outgoing, Friendly, Adaptable
Dress Code: Scrubs provided
Floating Areas: MFMU (Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit), MOMB (Mother-Baby Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
Weekends and On-call: Not required but available upon approval
