Travel RN Opportunity – Rehabilitation Unit

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

  • Unit Type: Rehabilitation
  • Number of Beds: 41
  • Staffing:
    • Day Shift: 4 RNs, 5 LPNs
    • Night Shift: 4 RNs, 4 LPNs
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6
  • Equipment Used: Patient lifts, iSTAT, glucometer, inhalers/breathing treatments
  • EMR System: Meditech Magic

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Nurse License
  • BLS Certification

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty

Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • BLS certified
  • Ability to read telemetry
  • LPNs must be IV certified (note: relevant if working alongside LPNs)

Preferred:

  • CRRN Certification
  • Knowledge of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute settings
  • ACLS certification within 90 days

Typical Procedures

  • Assist in rehabilitation care plans established by interdisciplinary team
  • Lab draws
  • IV medication administration as needed
  • Blood administration as needed
  • Head-to-toe assessments
