Overview

• Travel assignment in Lewisville, Texas
• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• Night shift: 7p–7a
• Unit: ED/780
• Main hospital, 1st floor
• 24 main beds, 12 fast track beds, and 8 hall beds
• Patient ratio: 4:1
• No on-call requirement
• No floating requirement

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• CPI
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC
• Ultrasound IVs

Unit Details

• Typical procedures include airway and resuscitation management, procedural sedation, chest tube care, wound care, and splinting
• Equipment includes Belmont, sono-site machine, Arctic Sun, Bair hugger, and Lucas
• Meditech is used for EMR

• The Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center
• It is supported by an Emergency Resource Nurse and Clinical Staff Support
• The department emphasizes collaboration, respect, support, and zero tolerance for workplace violence
