Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Joplin, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 3x12 hour shifts (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Number of Openings: 1

Unit and Work Environment

• Unit: Operating Room Complex
• Number of Beds: 11 Operating Rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment Used: Stryker
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue scrubs (supplied)
• Call and Weekend Hours: As required by facility
• Float Requirements: As required by facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the OR
• Maintain professional accountability and evaluate care effectiveness
• Coordinate patient care with other departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Perform duties consistent with organizational mission, values, and service standards

Patient Population

• Surgical patients in the Operating Room

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1 (exemptions require approval)
• Facility holds a "B" grade in hospital safety (Fall 2024)

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong OR nursing skills with at least 3 years of experience
