Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Labor & Delivery specialty for a travel assignment at a Joint Commission-accredited acute care facility. The unit has 8 beds and follows AWHONN standards for patient ratios. The patient population includes obstetrics, newborns, occasional gynecology surgery, breast reduction, and abdominoplasty cases.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call requirements: As needed
• Float requirements: As needed
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; no casual wear

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Experience in Charge nurse roles in Labor and Delivery
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Required certifications prior to start:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • HWC (Healthcare Worker Certification or equivalent)

Additional Information

• Electronic Health Record system: MediTech
• Professional demeanor required
• Facility is the sole acute care provider in the county, serving multiple surrounding counties
• Unit follows AWHONN patient ratio standards

Notes

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Client may require additional certifications beyond those listed
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this role
