Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 4 weeks

Unit Overview

Emergency Department with 101 beds
Typical patient ratios: 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
Support staff includes techs (cardiac monitoring and internal processing), triage, and unit clerks (days and nights)
Equipment used: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
Documentation system: Cerner
Scheduling: Every other weekend required; no block scheduling; must meet department needs
Floating: No floating outside the ED; must float within all ED sections
Patient experience focus: AIDET communication, respectful behavior, continuous patient updates

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Trauma experience

Work Schedule & Dress Code

36 hours per week
Navy scrubs required
