Registered Nurse

Location

  • Bridgeport, West Virginia

Facility

  • WVU United Hospital Center

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Shift

  • Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule

  • Every other weekend
  • Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Unit Details

  • 28-bed medical telemetry unit
  • Patient ratio: 1:5
  • Floating may be required to any med surg/tele unit

Patient Population

  • Cardiac patients
  • Respiratory-focused patients
  • Post-cath
  • AMI
  • Post-op lung surgeries after out of CCU
  • Respiratory failure
  • Chest tubes
  • Pacemakers
  • Post PCI

Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Ability to titrate drips
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Additional Unit Information

  • Charge nurse is present 24/7
  • CPAP and BiPap are managed by respiratory therapy
  • No stepdown patients
  • No art lines
  • Will not pull sheaths

Dress Code

  • Royal blue
