Job Opportunity: Med/Surg / Skilled Nursing Nurse (Night Shift)

Location: King City, California
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care primarily for non-critical pediatric patients.
• Float to the Skilled Nursing Department as needed.
• Must have experience with Cerner electronic health records system.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience within the last year.
• Skilled Nursing experience.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system.

Additional Information

• The hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract period due to census changes.
• Overtime applies for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week.
• Meal and break time must be pre-approved by a supervisor if missed.
• Housing can be challenging to find in the area; short-term options are available nearby.

Notes for Candidates

• Prior travel experience is required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Flexibility to float between Med/Surg and Skilled Nursing units is necessary.
