Med/Surg Telemetry Staff RN

Overview

• Contract role in Washington Court House, Ohio
• Day shift: 7am–7pm
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• No call
• No holidays
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5, flexed to 1:6
• Cares for patients at therapy level of care through PCU level of care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• EPIC
• Pyxis
• HARP/CPI

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans
• Assesses patient conditions, administers treatments and medications, and monitors outcomes
• Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Delivers patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning
• Recognizes and responds to patient complications and changes in condition
• Supervises and delegates appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care
• Ensures patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
