Radiation Therapist (Oncology) – Temp – Des Moines, IA

Job Details

Employment Type: Temporary
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Shift: Days
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36-40 hours/week; overtime billable after 40 hours
Work Environment: Oncology radiation therapy department with advanced technology and multidisciplinary team approach

Equipment & Technology

TrueBeam, Halcyon, TrueBeam Edge
Treatment types: SRS, SRT, SBRT, VMAT, 3D, Electrons, HyperArc (no total skin or total body treatments)
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: EPIC (required)
ARIA/Eclipse experience (highly preferred)

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Iowa
Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT certification with "T - Radiation Therapy" discipline
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Preferred Qualifications

Prior travel experience highly preferred
Experience with ARIA/Eclipse software
Experience with TrueBeam, Halcyon, TrueBeam Edge equipment

Additional Information

Orientation date provided
Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply
On-call and charge/precept pay available
Black scrubs required
Patient volume: approximately 80 patients per day
Team includes radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists

This position offers the opportunity to work in a technologically advanced radiation oncology department recognized for quality cancer care and multidisciplinary treatment coordination.
