Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Abilene, Texas
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• Start date preferred in the next 3–5 weeks

Clinical Focus

• Neuro/Spine
• Ortho/trauma
• General/robotics/trauma
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required

Schedule

• Works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• Call and late days as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience
• Ortho Trauma experience
• Neurosurgery experience
• 2 references within 3 years of start
• Resume/application

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG within 30 days of start

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, completed within 72 hours of signing contract

• Rubella documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract
• Hepatitis B documentation completed within 72 hours of signing contract

• Drug testing plan in place within 72 hours of signing contract
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start
• Flu vaccination/documentation for the 2026–27 season

• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) for Telemetry nurses
