Overview

Travel/Contract role in Charleston, South Carolina
Night shift: 3x12s, Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM
On-call: No
Holiday coverage may be needed, including 1 major holiday call or in-house coverage
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
CVOR (2 years of experience)
CVOR experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Scrubbing Cardiac/Vascular cases
First-timers not preferred

Unit / Service Lines

Service lines include Adult Cardiac, Thoracic, Transplant, Vascular, Bariatric, Panc/Bili, Colorectal, Plastics, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Urology, and MIS
5 Davinci’s

Additional Assignment Details

Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis within 60 miles
RTO must be provided at time of submission
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
EPIC charting
Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital
820 staffed beds
Parking requires a $20 registration fee for a hang tag; additional fees may apply if parking outside the designated garage

Pros

Everyone was so helpful and nice when i started. beautiful hospital grounds with ample outdoor areas to hang out during breaks/lunch.Amazing cafeteria and always had at least 5 food trucks outside the hospital for linch. Friendly staff including doctors and great patients. patient to staff ratio was awesome and always had a great team mentality of helping everyone out when needed.

Cons

The only con of the area was cost of living especially rent. I rented downtown so I could walk to work but coworkers who lived off of the main downtown area on other islands complained of heavy traffic.
