Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Job Summary

• Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting
• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process
• May be in a charge role or precepting nearly every shift

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and develops or updates plans of care
• Prioritizes and delivers care for patients with complex problems
• Communicates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team
• Supports patient and family education and discharge planning
• Participates in unit goals, performance improvement, and safe hospital environment practices
