Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the NICU unit scope of service.
Implement procedures and theories related to neonatal intensive care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for use by the healthcare team.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care and nursing interventions through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.
Identify personal learning needs and take initiative for improvement.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Monitor intake and output of neonatal patients.
Assist mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care.
Administer medications using proper barcode scanning.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and report on patient assignments.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure: Valid Illinois RN license in good standing.
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – American Heart Association
