Ultrasound Technician

Job Overview

• Travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin
• 13-week contract
• Day shift, Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Start date: 11/9/2026, with no earlier starts

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
• Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ARDMS (OB/GYN) or ARDMS (ABD)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Abdomen ultrasound experience
• Ob/Gyn Sonographer experience
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Focus

• General ultrasound exams, including abdomen, small parts, GYN, and OB
• Strong emphasis on OB imaging
• May include pylorus, appendix, and possible fetal brain imaging from NICU experience
• Does not perform DVT exams
• Does not perform breast ultrasounds
• Does not perform most ultrasound-guided procedures, except HSGs

Schedule and Call

• Weeknight call: 2–3 nights per month
• Weekend call: 2 weekends during the contract
• Call response time: 45 minutes

Floating

• May be required to float to nearby locations

• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Low-census unbillable hours may apply
• Hours are not guaranteed during orientation
• Unit may be closed on holidays
