Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location

• South Charleston, West Virginia

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Rotating weekends
• Rotating call
• 8-hour day shifts

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• ARRT or NMTCB certification
• West Virginia state licensure
• Experience required
• Ability to start IVs
• Ability to perform EKGs
• Unexpired driver’s license copy must be submitted with the application

Assignment Details

• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency
• No floating to other areas
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are not provided
• Black scrubs required
• No embroidery or T-shirts
• Scrub jacket required if warmth is needed
• Crocs with holes or backs out are not allowed

Work Setting

• Nuclear medicine department
• Studies include cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilts
• Average volume is 12–15 scans/studies per day
• In-house radiologist
• 4 scanners/rooms

Additional Notes

• No self-scheduling
• Holiday coverage is not required at this time
