Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Longmont, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a combined Cath and Interventional Radiology (IR) lab with 2 suites/labs.
• Average of 4 cases per day (combination of cath and IR).
• Circulate and monitor cases pre- and post-procedure, including patient calls.
• Use Epic EMR, MacLab, and Siemens equipment.
• Cardiologist available in-house during the day and on-call overnight.

Schedule & Call

• 4 shifts per week, each 9 hours (36 hours/week).
• Some weeknight call (~10 per month).
• Weekend call every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Holiday call required, shared among staff (1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday).
• Call response time: 30 minutes.
• No floating to other facilities.
• Provided scrub color: blues.

Orientation

• Orientation occurs over a couple of days during the week after initial clinical orientation.
• Orientation hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote.

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications.
• Certified Cardiac Interventional Radiologic Technologist (CI) via ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI.
• If not ARRT(R) certified, must obtain Colorado fluoroscopy certification.
• Cath Lab experience is required.
• IR experience preferred or willingness to learn.

Patient Population & Diagnoses

• Patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemakers.
• Interventional Radiology patients as part of combined lab.

Additional Notes

• Must submit a valid driver’s license.
• Hiring process includes profile review and interview with unit manager.
• Work radius: within 60 miles of the facility.

Specialty Experience Requirement

• Minimum required experience: Cath Lab experience (years not explicitly stated, but must have prior Cath Lab experience).
