PACU RN Travel Assignment

Role Overview

• Registered Nurse in the PACU
• Travel assignment
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• ED - Emergency Department experience

Preferred Experience

• ICU or ER experience
• Floor experience
• Ventilator experience
• Experience with critical drips

Schedule

• 9- or 12-hour shifts
• Call required 1–2 times per week
• 1 weekend call per month
• 2 holiday calls per year

Unit Details

• PACU with 15 beds
• Closed unit
• Typical patient ratio: 1:2
• Staffed with 1 PCT plus RNs

Procedures / Clinical Work

• ECT
• Bedside manipulations
• Blood patch

Equipment / Documentation

• GE bedside monitors
• Bladder scanner
• Central tele monitor
• IV pumps
• EKG
• Thermometer
• Suction
• Uses Expanse documentation

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs
