Job Overview

  • Location: Salem, Virginia
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • OB experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • AWHONN

Unit Details

  • Labor and delivery unit with postpartum, newborn care, OBED triage, inductions, and cesarean sections
  • Patient ratios include 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural cases
  • Floating is limited to within the unit only

Schedule

  • 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
  • No call requirement for travel staff

Preferred Experience

  • Cesarean section experience as circulator, first assist, or scrub

Other Notes

  • Scrubs are provided
  • Ideal candidate is energetic and self-directed
